Introduction to Lexus keys and the Lexus immobiliser system
Early Lexus cars do not have any immobiliser system and therefore do not require a transponder chip in the key. From 1995 an immobiliser system was introduced that shuts of the engine if no transponder is read from the key. The Lexus immobiliser can either be in a separate box or part of the ECU. We can provide new keys for all of these systems.
Lost Lexus keys replaced
We can supply new Lexus keys even when all keys have been lost. Lexus main dealers charge up to £1200 to supply a new ECU and lock set. We are able to cut a new Lexus key from your existing locks and program a new key into the immobiliser at a fraction of this price.
